About the coach

I train men.
That's the
whole pitch.

I'm Colton Britzius. I started lifting weights when I was twelve, found bodybuilding at seventeen in 2012, and have been a personal trainer since 2017. What matters to the men I coach is simpler than any of that: I know what it takes to change a physique, and I'm honest about how long it takes.

Why I do this

I built myself first. Now I get to watch other men do it.

I was seventeen when I started bodybuilding and I've never stopped. This was never a job I picked because it looked easy. I'm in it because I've done the thing myself, rebuilt my own physique show after show, and I know what happens in a man's head when the work finally starts showing on the outside.

That's the reward, and it isn't the placings. It's watching a man realise the power was inside him the whole time and he just needed someone to show him where to put the work. Men show up convinced they're the problem. Almost every time, they were one honest plan away from fixing it.

Yeah, I teach proper form and how to get stronger. But what a man actually walks away with is a tool he keeps for the rest of his life — something he can hand down to his mates, his brother, his kid. That's the part I'm proud of.

The record

Five shows. Five placings.

Nine years between the first one and the last, and I never once walked off a stage without a placing.

The short version

Competed hard. Now I build other men.

I competed five shows between 2014 and 2022 and placed on every one of them. I started coaching men in 2017, and the last show I ever did — the 2022 Leigh Brandt Muscle Classic — is the one where I won middleweight and then took the overall title.

Then my son was born in 2023, and that completely changed my life. Everything I thought I was chasing suddenly looked small. I want to be in his life every single day — not passing through, just present — and I want him to watch his dad do work he actually believes in. I'm not training for a stage anymore. I'm training for a life at home.

My wife means the world to me. I met her in 2019 — she'd already been a locally known fitness trainer since around 2010 and had built a name for herself before we ever crossed paths, national champion Figure title and all. I came in knowing a lot, especially about men, and I still learned a mountain from her. She was my number one support through the 2022 prep — that overall title belongs to her as much as it does to me.

So that's who I coach now: men from every kind of life and line of work — trades, offices, night shifts, new dads, men who haven't touched a weight in a decade — anywhere from 18 to 65. I don't care what you do for a living. What I want is for you to feel the happiness and confidence I built in myself, and to keep it the way I kept it: honestly, and one week at a time.

I train men only. If you're a woman looking for a coach, ask me and I'll put you in my wife's hands.

What a session looks like

No waiting, no crowd

Sessions run out of my gym at my place — a private place, set up so you're never waiting behind someone for a rack. You show up, we work, and the plan for the week gets dialed in before you leave.

Everything else happens between sessions: the food you eat, the steps you hit, the sore shoulder you're not sure about. That's what the daily text support is for, and it's where most of the change actually happens.

I'm not a yes-man. If your diet's off I'll tell you. But I'll also give you something realistic to do about it, because a plan that doesn't survive a bad week at work isn't a plan.
